Bankruptcies in Lithuania: what bankruptcy means, where the data comes from and how to find a company

Bankruptcy is a court process for an insolvent company, after which its assets are realised to satisfy creditors. The stages — from the opening of a case to liquidation and completion — are registered by AVNT (the Authority of Audit, Accounting, Property Valuation and Insolvency) and published as open data.

How to use the filters

Search above by company name, town or industry. With the county and status choices you narrow the list. Each row leads to a company page with the details, court and sources.

What the statuses mean

Bankruptcy case opened (the court has recognised the company as insolvent) · Being liquidated (assets are being realised) · Bankruptcy completed (the process is finished) · Bankruptcy discontinued (the case was discontinued).

Frequently asked questions

Where does the data come from? +
From AVNT open data (data.gov.lt). We process this public data into a searchable, filterable format. The official source always prevails.
How up to date is the list? +
AVNT open data is updated periodically (not in real time). The list is therefore best read as the latest available, not strictly "today".
What is the difference between an opened and a discontinued case? +
An opened case means the company has been declared insolvent. A discontinued case means the proceeding ended (e.g. settlement or payment of creditors) without full liquidation.
